Parade Finally around noon the parade began naval facing the Bay of Valparaiso. Led by Esmeralda, accompanied by smaller vessels, passed in front of Cape Oil Horn anchored off the Molo, headed for the commercial port and after a change of course continued to step off of Viña del Mar. Then followed all the boats with their sails deployed in a spectacular boat parade was followed by hundreds of observers from the 21 de Mayo, near the Naval Museum and each viewing port. Bicentenary Regatta, Candles South America, the largest gathering of Magnificent Vessel made in South America in recent memory was over. As an epilogue
notable ships were leaving the Jewel of the Pacific North. Antofagasta and then El Callao were the next courses, here after the wake of the sailing ships that were the desire to repeat some day and that, hopefully not for a further two hundred years away.
